Front Garden Part 2 - 1st Quarter

I finished off digging over the first quarter of the front garden. Dug up 3 heathers and one hebe and tried to remove what I could of the couch grass in amongst it. A nightmare and I feel it will come back to haunt me. Hopefully with it all more spaced out and well dug it may be slightly easier to remove than before.

I've now put the heathers, hebe, ferns and bits of hardy geranium in their permanent place. Some plants have been removed permanently that I was not so keen on, and some plants are still to be moved. Namely right and left of the heathers (see picture). By the way this quarter is a partial shade bed as it gets a bit of shade and then a bit of sun. In the winter its more shade than sun.

Still needs a little finishing off and possibly a few more plants added but I feel like its slowly coming along. Just the other 3 to do.

Oh I ended up with 3 extra wheelie bins to get rid of the turf. Still a lot to get rid of though unfortunately.

My little ragged robin friend is gradually getting braver and used to me, he/she looks so skinny and scruffy though. I hope it feeds itself in the process.
