Its Pruning Time Again!

Over the past few weeks I've been busy weeding, edging up borders and digging them over, and then getting my assistant to mulch them all with bark mulch. Trying to get well ahead of the game.

I planted up some Senecio Sunshine on Wednesday and mulched them too. I do hope it doesn't snow because they'll be the first to die and I have enough with dodgy looking plants at the moment, due to the harsh winter.

I still have several new plants to go including Thyme and Rosemary for the newly rejuvenated herb garden for the kitchen staff. Quite excited about this little project.

Now that the news of my assistant being sacked has reached me, I've started frantically pruning Elders and Buddleia. Trying hopefully to stay one step ahead of the game. Still got a few of those to do, plus tidy up Pampas Grasses and trim over the deciduous types of Berberis. I've still got plenty of time, but if I'm going to be on my own then I need to pull my finger out as the weeds will grow in earnest soon.

I had already decided to not prune the Cornus this year around the Clubhouse as they all look pretty small, most likely because of the dodgy weather. So I'll let them go this year. One less thing to worry about!

My head is certainly buzzing today from the news of the sacking and all the stuff I need to do. Its all good fun though, hey!
